PENINGKATAN KINERJA KEPALA SEKOLAH MELALUI PENGUATAN IKLIM ORGANISASI, MOTIVASI BERPRESTASI, DAN KEPUASAN KERJA (Studi Empiris menggunakan Metode Korelasional dan Analisis SITOREM pada Kepala SMA Swasta Kabupaten Bogor)
The performance of school principal is very important in educational organizations to achieve the goals that have been set. The management of Senior High School (SMA) which is organized by the community (private) needs to be done professionally because it has a great contribution or plays inportant role in providing quality and equitable education services to build human resources and prepare a quality generation of the nation, therefore it is needed school principal that have superior performance in terms of quality, quantity, productivity, effectiveness and timeliness Based on this background, this reseach aims to identify and find implementative efforts and strategies to enhance the performance of school principals through strengthening organizational climate, achievement motivation and job satisfaction for private high school principals in Bogor Regency. This research uses correlational research method, the which is conducted using quantitative methods and data collection is carried out through a questionnaire. then explained by statistical analysis and analyzed by regression analysis. The study population was 144 heads of private high schools in Bogor Regency. The research sample of 106 respondents was determined by the Slovin formula, selected using the simple random sampling method The results of quantitative research found that an organizational climate that emphasizes clarity, commitment, standards, responsibility, recognition, and teamwork, can enhancement the performance of school principals. Achievement motivation that emphasizes a strong desire, work planning, goals, efforts and needs can enhancement the performance of the principal. Job satisfaction that emphasizes pay, jobs, promotion opportunities, supervisors, and co-workers can enhancement the performance of school principals. Based on this research, the stronger the organizational climate, achievement motivation, and job satisfaction, the higher the performance of the principal. The results showed that there was a positive and significant relationship between organizational climate and principal performance with the coefficient of determination r2y1 = 0.684. There is a positive and significant relationship between achievement motivation and the principal's performance with the coefficient of determination r2y2 = 0.733. There is a positive and significant relationship between job satisfaction and the principal's performance with the coefficient of determination r2y3 = 0.655. This suggests that the principal's performance can be improved by strengthening the organizational climate, motivation, and job satisfaction. The results of the SITOREM analysis of organizational climate, achievement motivation, job satisfaction and school principal performance indicate that there are indicators that are priority to be improved, namely: goals, needs, efforts, recognition, responsibility, standards, work team, pay, jobs, promotion opportunities, supervisors, and co-workers. Indicators that need to be maintained are: clarity, commitment, work planning, and strong desire.
